This includes specialty parts for luxury brand vehicles like BMW and Mercedes. Every van is equipped with everything we need to attend to issues like air suspension leaks, oil leaks from your suspension and a wheel alignment to complete your repair. Other problems we’re ready to deal with include issues with your shock absorbers, sway bar or even your steering components which might be impacted.

How much does a suspension repair cost?

We always strive to give you a fixed price up front and let you be in control of costs.

If your shock absorbers are worn and need to be replaced then you’re looking at a starting cost of about $150.00 which could increase to over $500.00 depending on what needs to be replaced and whether there are any other issues that need taking care of as well. Some luxury brand cars are fitted with electronically controlled shock absorbers and the replacement cost for some of these types of parts can quickly exceed $1,000

Other issues may include the replacement of other steering components or things like suspension bushes. To have the suspension bush replaced you could be looking at a cost of $100.00 ranging up to $350.00, depending on the location of the auto suspension repair and how long it takes the mechanic to gain suitable access.

Your car’s suspension works by absorbing shocks from the surface you are driving on and maintaining wheel alignment for stability. Simply, your car’s suspension consists of: Springs (Coil or Leaf Springs) – Absorb impact from bumps and dips, supporting the vehicle's weight. Shock Absorbers (Dampers) – Control the motion of the springs, preventing excessive bouncing Control Arms & Bushings – Connect the wheels to the frame and allow controlled movement. Anti-Roll Bars (Sway Bars) – Reduce body roll when turning, improving stability. Struts (in some vehicles) – Combine shocks and springs into a single unit for space efficiency.
Your car's suspension should typically last 80,000 to 150,000 km or around 5 to 10 years, depending on driving conditions and maintenance. Shock absorbers & struts – 80,000 to 150,000 km Control arms & bushings – 100,000 to 150,000 km Ball joints – 100,000 km (or sooner if worn) Springs – Usually last the life of the car unless damaged
Your suspension is designed to provide you and your passengers with a comfortable ride. The key component is the spring that designed to absorb the shocks associated with normal driving and disperse that energy while navigating turns at speed. This might also include an unnatural noise or squeak from the undercarriage of your car, or it may be a harder or softer ride than you’re used to. Often excessive bouncing while you’re driving your vehicle will indicate a problem too. If there is a problem with your suspension system, you may notice excessive body roll through corners. This makes it more difficult to maintain grip on the road and will slow you down. It will also heavily affect your ability to respond to emergency situations on the road.
